Thailand vs Vietnam in April? Female Solo Traveler

I’m planning a two-week solo adventure to Southeast Asia in mid-April, marking my first visit to the region. Currently torn between Thailand and Vietnam, with the possibility of combining both destinations.

As a 31-year-old woman traveling alone, safety is my top priority. I’m eager to immerse myself in local culture, savor fantastic cuisine, and take in stunning scenery.

For those who have visited either country—or both—which would you recommend for a solo female traveler? Would two weeks be realistic to explore both destinations, or is it better to focus on a single country?
