I’m new to planning travel for a family of four and would love some targeted recommendations. We have two kids ages 1.5 and 7, and we’re looking for an all-inclusive resort that fits a specific set of needs. Our preferred travel window is January to March 2027, for seven days, departing from Toronto (YYZ) with a total budget of roughly CAD 7,000–9,000 (ideally under CAD 10,000). We’d consider either Mexico or Caribbean destinations, with a strong preference for Mexico if possible.

Key criteria
– Family-friendly atmosphere: activities suitable for young children beyond a kids club (options like a small water park, splash pad, petting zoo or animal encounters, games room, daily shows, etc.). We do not require a dedicated kids club.
– Beach and water: calm swimming areas and a beach suitable for snorkeling, with clear, safe water.
– Cleanliness and safety: extremely high standards for cleanliness, including pristine rooms—no pests or cleanliness issues.
– Food and dining: all-inclusive settings with a variety of dining options and restaurants included; alcohol is not a priority.
– Atmosphere: not a large party resort; quiet, walkable, family-focused, and not located in a busy, rowdy area.
– Proximity: ideally within one hour of the airport to maximize family time and minimize travel fatigue.
– Budget: total trip cost in the CAD 7,000–9,000 range (all-inclusive, including flights, transfers, meals, and essentials). We’re open to options under 10K.
– Flights: from Toronto (YYZ) with a flight time preference of around five hours or less.

Additional preferences
– We’re open to Caribbean destinations but have a preference for Mexico since it would be a new experience for us.
