Vietnam in late December / early January — Which tour package would you recommend?
Vietnam in Late December / Early January: Which Tour Package Would You Recommend?
Planning a Vietnam trip with a friend around the end of December to early January, we’re exploring group tour packages from MakeMyTrip and other Indian travel operators. With several itinerary options available, we’re looking for guidance on the best pick.
A bit about our preferences:
- Weather considerations: We know northern Vietnam can be cool during this period, and views may be obscured by fog or weather conditions. I’m comfortable missing a view or two if the overall experience remains enjoyable.
- Comfort preferences: I tend to get hot easily, even at temperatures above 26°C or in sunny conditions. I’d prefer to avoid destinations that are overly hot and humid, where I’m sweating most of the time.
As we plan, we’re trying to determine which region would be most suitable for late December to early January: North, Central, or South Vietnam.
For travelers who’ve visited Vietnam during late December or early January:
1) Which region would you recommend, considering weather and overall experience?
2) Is North Vietnam still worth it despite the cold and potential fog?
3) Which itinerary would you suggest?
4) Has anyone traveled with MakeMyTrip or another group tour operator? How was the experience?
We’d love to hear your suggestions and personal experiences. Thanks!
