Recommendations for 8 Days in Central and Eastern Europe
Planning an eight-day journey through Central and Eastern Europe at the end of October, and seeking input on which cities to explore. It’s my first visit to the region, and I’m considering 2 or 3 destinations to make the most of the trip without feeling rushed.
Interests include history, culture, and art. I’m not an avid nature traveler, but I do enjoy softer, accessible outdoor experiences—think hiking along well-maintained, paved paths. I’m also open to encountering unique natural sights that are characteristic of this region.
Budapest is a definite stop on the itinerary. I’m undecided about adding Bucharest, or perhaps visiting smaller cities that offer a rich cultural experience. I’m not aiming to include Prague or Vienna in this trip since I’ve planned to visit those cities on a future journey.
I’d greatly appreciate any recommendations or itineraries. Thank you!
