First time in Southeast Asia Solo – 3+ weeks in Bangkok, then Bali, Singapore, or somewhere else?

Title: First Time Solo in Southeast Asia: 3+ Weeks in Bangkok, then Bali, Singapore, or Another Destination?

I’m planning my first Southeast Asia trip later this month and will spend a little over three weeks in Bangkok. After that, I’m considering another destination for a week or two before returning home.

I’ve done a fair amount of solo travel, mainly in Europe and South America, and I’ve generally enjoyed it. Initially, Bali or Singapore were on my radar, but I’m having second thoughts.

Bali: The idea of staying in a beautiful private villa with my own pool sounds fantastic, especially for the price. However, after watching videos and reading reviews about trash, pollution, traffic, and overcrowding in certain areas, I’m wondering if I’d actually enjoy it. Is it really as bad as some people claim?

Singapore: It looks beautiful, clean, modern, and definitely a place I’d enjoy exploring. My only concern is whether 5–7 days would be too long for a solo traveler.

Kuala Lumpur: I’ve also considered KL, but I’ve read mixed opinions about how much there is to do compared with Bangkok or Singapore.

My interests include nice restaurants, stylish hotels, great ambiance, city exploration, sightseeing, meeting people, and a lively social atmosphere. I’m not really into backpacking or street food, partly due to a sensitive stomach. I don’t mind splurging on a memorable experience, though I do appreciate the affordability of Southeast Asia.

I’m open to something completely different that I haven’t considered yet.

Which would you choose: Bali, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or another destination entirely? I’d love insights from people who’ve actually visited these places.
