Should I spend my extra travel days in Edinburgh or go to Wales?
Edinburgh or Wales: Where Should I Spend My Extra Travel Days?
I’m planning a UK trip with a group of friends who will be leaving two days before me. Our group itinerary doesn’t include Wales, and we’ll be spending three days in Edinburgh. I’m torn between staying in Scotland for my two additional days—perhaps exploring beyond Edinburgh—or venturing to Wales for a brand-new destination.
My interests include history, hiking, and art, but above all I’m excited to simply experience and enjoy new places. I love wandering aimlessly, discovering charming streets, vintage shopping, and discovering unique shops. Museums also hold appeal for me.
I’m a 25-year-old woman, in case that matters.
Update: I’ve decided to stay in Scotland. I’d appreciate any Scotland-specific recommendations for where to go and what to do.
